Walk MS: Rochester, MI

What a wonderful event the Walk Ms: Rochester turned out to be. It was a smaller walk compared to ones we've done in the past. It was at one of our favorite parks in Rochester, Paint Creek Trail. It's a beautiful backdrop. I love participating in the walks. It's one big community supporting one another. We provide laughter, love, and support to one another. Every year my mom gets out there and participates in usually 2 walks a year. She's my hero. She's my heart. She's a fighter. She's stubborn. She doesn't complain. She gets up every day and keeps fighting. I'm not going to lie and sugarcoat things and say that this walk was easy for her. It wasn't. It was hard and she struggled. The fact that she was even out there attempting is more than anyone could ask for. I know parents are supposed to be the proud one of their kids, but it's the other way around for me. I'm proud of her. Always will be.

As long as they have walks I will be there. The pain is unimaginable but that's ok. I get up and go everyday because I'm not going to let my autoimmune diseases win.
