Favorite Guides & Resources
The Internet, books, and the pamphlets doctors provide you about MS can all be overwhelming. It can be difficult to decide on where the best information for you is at. We all know someone who says "I once read on the Internet...", or "I heard on the news...". Do your research. Go to reliable sources. Talk with you doc and family. Here are some sites that have been helpful to me and may be useful to you:

My mom has been stopped in public by fellow MSers and disable individuals asking when she's got her can or walker. We're always looking for products that may help her in any way, so it's nice when we can help someone else. Whether it's a walking device, a certain kind of lotion, or an iPad, these items can help make your day to day function easier (or you just might like the way it feels). My mom also uses a variety of products to help assist her, give her relief, and help her overall function. Here is a list of some items she uses regularly:
- Mission Cooling Towel
- Drive Medical Adjustable Heights Rollator Rolling Walker
- Drive Foam Grip Offset Handle Walking Cane
- Drive Medical Fly-Lite Transport Chair
- Marcy ME 709 Recumbent Bike
- Ice packs
- Shower bars
- Shower seats
- Scrubs Rx shoes
- Aveno Lotion
- Zofran
- Silicone/rubber jar openers
- Amazon Fire Tablet
- AccuRelief Tens Unit
- Journals

My wish list would be a motorized scooter that is lightweight and easy to get in and out of my car by myself. My other wish list would be a walk in shower. There is nothing harder to do when I'm having a bad day is to get in and out. We all use certain devices we use within our community to get thru the day. My wish is one day we can all do the things we did before our disease took over our body. Until then I hope these resources help.
