Woodstock 50th Anniversary
Do you know anyone who went to Woodstock? Well, if you're reading this you are one step closer to knowing someone. No, it's not me (I'm a little too young). However, my mom went. Not only did she go to Woodstock, but she went when she 15, she hitchhiked on the back of a Harley, and got to see some of the greatest musicians to ever live. Hendrix, Joplin, Santana, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Crosby, Stills & Nash just to name a few. Imagine seeing musical Gods right in front of your face. I've been to concerts where I'm watching my favorite musicians and I could cry because I'm so overwhelmed with emotions. I can only imagine that's how seeing the musicians at Woodstock felt like.
This past week marked the 50th anniversary of one of the greatest moments in time. It was 3 days in history that can never be recreated. People have tried and failed, and I'm sure more people with try. Some things you just can't recreate, nor should you. Some things are sacred. Woodstock is one of those.

She slept in tents, she slept in the rain, and she slept in the mud. She says that everyone was so supportive of one another. If you needed food, clothing, or shelter someone was there to help. Many times people were giving you the last of their items. Whether it was a shirt, a blanket, or water and that's all someone had left, people were willing to part with those items just to help their neighbor. The peace, love, and happiness was real.
My mom says besides having her children, Woodstock is one of the greatest moments in her life.
So now you can tell people you know someone who went to Woodstock.
